New Playground Equipment for Buechel Park
Thursday December 15, 2011
Families visiting Buechel Park will find a wonderful addition to the park amenities.
Louisville Metro Parks has completed a $50,000 playground improvement, replacing old equipment with new play structures, designed to provide hours of active fun for kids. Children can run, jump, climb, spin and slide on an array of new elements that include platforms, beams, hand cycles, ladders and a rockscape.
“Kids will love the new playground equipment because there are new and innovative climbing activities that most playgrounds don’t have,” said Jason Canuel, Metro Parks engineer and project manager, “But all park-goers can appreciate that the play equipment is appealing to the eye, also, colored in earth tones that complement the scenic park landscape.”
The new equipment joins the swing sets and “Tot Lot” (for smaller children) already in place at the 16-acre park located in the Buechel Terrace subdivision off Bardstown Road.
Winter break is a great time for families to explore Buechel Park!
