Iroquois Park Northern Overlook Restoration Design Presentation– August 19
Friday August 1, 2014
Louisville Metro Parks will present a design recommendation for the Northern Overlook in Iroquois Park. The public meeting will be held August 19, 2014 at the Iroquois Amphitheater from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The new Northern Overlook design is created from feedback provided at a previous public information session held earlier last month. The design seeks to enhance the overlook by improving its sustainability, making it less prone to erosion, and creating a vibrant and welcoming public space. Iroquois Park’s Northern Overlook project and design is estimated to cost $1 million. Louisville Metro Parks and Recreation and the Olmsted Parks Conservancy are partnering on the project.
This is the final public meeting regarding the overlook project at Iroquois Park with initial construction possible by the end of the year.
The Iroquois Amphitheater is located at 1080 Amphitheater Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40214 near the intersection of New Cut Road and Kenwood Drive.
