Volunteers Needed for National Wheelchair Basketball Association Championships, In Louisville April 3-6

Volunteers are needed to assist as Louisville again hosts the National Wheelchair Basketball Association Championships. The event runs April 3-6, at the Kentucky Exposition Center, 937 Phillips Lane.
Louisville Metro Parks & Recreation serves on the local organizing committee for this event, and assists in volunteer coordination. Volunteers can get involved in a variety of ways, including event set-up, cleanup, greeter/registration, scorekeeping, timekeeping, transportation, information booth staffing and general errands. Training and instruction will be provided; no experience is necessary. Individual and group volunteer sign-ups are welcome.

About the National Wheelchair Basketball Association
The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is comprised of more than 200 basketball teams across twenty-two conferences and seven divisions. The NWBA was founded in 1948, and today consists of men’s, women’s, intercollegiate and junior youth teams throughout the United States. The NWBA’s mission is to provide qualified individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity to play, learn and compete in the sport of wheelchair basketball.
