Metro Parks, Mayor Jerry Abramson, Metro Councilwoman Marianne Butler and Environment Design Collaborative are working together to develop a master plan for Wyandotte Park, at Taylor Boulevard and Beecher Street in South Louisville. This master plan will guide future improvements to the park.

Wyandotte Park was originally designed in 1935 and for the last 70 years has been a place for neighborhood rest and recreation. In the time since the park’s original design, the population has grown and the needs of the surrounding community have changed.

The project is being supported by an $85,000 appropriation from Mayor Abramson and Councilwoman Butler. A portion of those funds will also be used to begin implementing the master plan once it's finalized.
