Jefferson Memorial Forest features a campground for tent camping and can accommodate both families and groups. Although the Forest is only minutes from Metro Louisville, camping here seems like a much more remote camping experience. Located within the Horine Reservation, the campground is in the uplands of the Forest and has good separation between individual campsites. Seven family campsites and four group campsites are available. Latrines and water are near to all the sites. Hiking is one of the main activities within the Horine Reservation and the campground is conveniently close to the trail system.

Fees:
- Family tent camping sites - $15 per night
- Group sites - $30 per night
- 20 sticks of firewood - $10
NOTE - Due to the fast-spreading Emerald Ash Borer, bringing wood into the forest is prohibited. Click here to learn more.
To reserve a site, call (502) 368-5404. The Forest requires payment via MasterCard or Visa at the time of your reservation. Invoicing is possible for larger groups; call for details.
Group sites:
All sites have picnic tables, fire ring, lantern posts, parking for two vehicles per site. Additional vehicles can park in the main parking lot outside the campground gate. Click on the links below for picture of the campsites.

Family Sites:
All sites have fire ring, picnic table, tent pad, and lantern post. Five people per site and one vehicle per site are allowed. Additional vehicles can park in the main parking lot outside the campground gate. Family sites have shared water and shared port-o-pots between all family sites.
