Fairdale to Floyds Fork Corridor
This Louisville Loop project will identify a location for a user-friendly, shared-use recreational trail planned from the community of Fairdale to the Floyds Fork crossing at old Bardstown Road. This trail will serve as a major recreational and transportation feature for the nearby community and region, connecting the Louisville Loop from the future path location in Fairdale and eastward to the trail system being planned by 21st Century Parks along Floyds Fork. Trail uses may include walking, biking, hiking and horseback riding. As part of this study, an evaluation for the potentail for restoration of ecosystems along tributaries to Pond Creek and Floyds Fork as a way to protect and enhance water quality and wildlife habitat.
