Metro Parks RecreationMetro Parks serves as the community's largest fitness club, with more than 14,000 acres of natural space as well as specialized recreation programs and facilities, including 16 community centers. The Recreation Division includes a full-time staff of 85 recreation professionals, along with a part-time staff of 60 and a seasonal staff of up to 600.






THE RECREATION DIVISION INCLUDES:

Adapted Leisure Activities  Serving citizens of all ages with mental and/or physical disabilities.
Aquatics The year-round Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center and several outdoor summer pools.
Athletics Youth and adult sports leagues.
Community Centers  16 facilities providing diverse recreation programs throughout our community.
Metro Arts Center Classes for children and adults in the fine and applied arts.
Senior Services Recreation for Louisville's diverse senior citizen population.
Summer Camps Artistic, environmental and sports programs for children.
