Adapted Leisure Activities offers a wide range of recreational activities for individuals with mental and/or physical disabilities, along with their friends and families.

Programs include wheelchair basketball, aqua exercise, bowling, dances, assisted shopping and more.

The Adapted Leisure staff also works with other programs in the Recreation Division of Metro Parks to ensure people with disabilities can participate in recreation activities, and works with the department's Planning & Design staff to ensure that new capital projects are developed with accessibility in mind. One on one care (such as personal hygiene) is not provided at programs.  Participants are welcomed to bring an aid or another individual to provide this assistance and this person will not be charged the program fee.
