Metro Parks hosted a local qualifier for the national Punt Pass and Kick Competition at Louisville Champions Park this year.

Boys and girls competed in 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15 age divisions for the opportunity to go to a regional qualifier and potentially be sponsored by one of the NFL’s 32 teams in the finals later this year. The winners in each age group are determined by the total distance of their punts, passes and kicks. The finals will take place in early 2012 at an NFL playoff game on a date and site to be determined.
