Studio2000 Program

Studio2000 is an arts-based youth volunteer program coordinated by Metro Parks. It is modeled after Gallery 37 in Chicago and open to local high school students. Studio2000 draws participants from Louisville's public, parochial and private schools.

Studio2000 provides volunteer experience for young artists who demonstrate an interest and skill in visual arts. Students from diverse backgrounds work with equally diverse professional artists. There is a public exhibit, show and sale at the end of each session. Proceeds are returned to Studio2000 to support future programming.

Studio2000, a summer program, offers special projects as well as work sessions, with a working studio.

Young people who are interested in a career in the arts have the opportunity to work with artists who are self-supporting. Those who like creating with their hands have the opportunity to learn new skills while earning an income.
