2011 Metro Parks and Recreation Summer Camps

The Community Center summer camps theme this year is "Our Parks!" Metro Parks' structured day camps provide safe, fun and educational enrichment opportunities. The camps, offered from Metro Parks community centers, allow children to experience fitness, arts and the great outdoors in a wholesome environment.
 To support the City of Parks initiative that is expanding and improving Louisville’s parks, summer camps and youth programming focuses on building participants’ appreciation for nature, parks and green space, while encouraging them to become good stewards of our environment. Arts and craft projects focus on park landscapes and other nature themes.
Camps begin on June 6 and conclude on July 29. Reduced fees are available for those who qualify through required verification, and camp sites are subject to being combined if enrollment numbers are low at any site.
The registration and first week's fees are due at sign up. Camps begin at 8 a.m. and last until 6 p.m. daily. Teen camps are for children ages 13-15, and all other camps are for ages 6-12.
