2010 Metro Parks and Recreation Summer Camps
COMMUNITY CENTER SMMER CAMPS AND YOUTH PROGRAMMING 
Registration begins Monday, March 29
Registration will begin Monday, March 29, 2010 for all Community Center camp locations, with the exception of Sun Valley, which will begin registration on April 5 at 9 a.m. and Douglass Community Center, which will begin registration on April 17 at 8 a.m. For more information, please contact the camp site of your choice, listed below. Metro Parks' structured day camps provide safe, fun and educational enrichment opportunities. The camps, offered from at Metro Parks community centers and outreach sites, allow children to experience sports, arts and the great outdoors in a wholesome environment.
To support the City of Parks initiative that is expanding and improving Louisville’s parks, summer camps and youth programming focuses on building participants’ appreciation for nature, parks and green space, while encouraging them to become good stewards of our environment. Arts and craft projects focus on park landscapes and other nature themes.
Teens ages 13 and 14 -- who are too old for some camp programs but too young for summer camp employment -- can attend some camp locations as junior camp counselors. Contact the camp location of your choice for more information.
