Beat the heat in the outdoor summer pools operated by Metro Parks. Each summer pool is staffed by certified lifeguards, and free swim lessons are available for families (group lessons can be arranged for a fee).

Metro Parks pools require photo ID for anyone age 9 and over (children 8 and under must be accompanied by a guardian). IDs may be made at Norton Pool in Camp Taylor Memorial Park, 4201 Lee Avenue, and the Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center. No IDs will be made on days when the pools are closed. The cost is $4 per ID.
The normal summer school schedule begins June 5, with each outdoor pool closed one day per week for maintenance.

May 26, 27, 28, 29 -- Closed because of school
May 30, 31 -- Open for weekend only
June 1, 2, 3, 4 -- Closed because of school
June 5 -- Normal summer schedule begins
July 4 -- All four outdoor pools open, Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center closed
