Athletic Fields

Outdoor athletic fields are available throughout the year. Most fields are available to the general public for games and practices, although non-profit groups operate some fields exclusively under franchise agreements.

Important Information

Payment is required in advance

Full payment must be received within two weeks of the date when a reservation is booked. If payment is not received within two weeks, the reservation will be cancelled and the date will be released. Until full payment is made, all reservations are considered tentative and no permits are issued.

Last-minute scheduling

Any reservations made less than two weeks before the date of your event must be paid in full at the time of booking. Additional fees for last-minute reservations may apply, as crews may need to be scheduled on overtime to accomodate your event. In some cases, Metro Parks will not be able to accept reservations with less than two weeks notice, although every effort will be made to accomodate these requests.

Recreation Agreements

Signed recreation agreements must be returned, with full payment, by the last day of February, or Metro Parks reserves the right to negotiate with other organizations for that agreement.

  • Concession stand use (per season, where available): $250
  • Key deposit (per set, per site, per season): $100 (refundable)

SINGLE-GAME PERMITS OR SEASON-LONG PRACTICE PERMITS

Metro Parks outdoor athletic fields are also available for single games and season-long practice sessions, based on the tiered pricing structure below.  Please note that, with the exception of the "game only fields" listed below, all athletic fields may be used by the public for informal use on a first-come, first-served basis, provided that the field has not been reserved, and the users are not charging a fee to any participants.  Practice permits allow two separate two-hour practice sessions per week on a single field for a full season (note that Metro Parks cannot guarantee fields will be striped for practice sessions). Ballfield lighting, where available, costs $10 per hour.
