Metro Police Calendar

On June 10, 2006 the Louisville Metro Police Foundation, in conjunction with the LMPD and businessess from around the community, will present the LMPD 200^th Celebration. In honor of the men and women who have sworn to serve and protect the citizens of Louisville for the past 200 years, you and your family are cordially invited to head to Waterfront Park for a day of fun and excitement.   • Whether you're a serious runner or just want to bring the family out for an early morning walk, you'll enjoy this course through beautiful downtown Louisville and along the waterfront.

• 8:30am Health and Safety Fair begins
  • Join the members of the Police, Fire, and EMS Departments as well as many others in the safety community for some fun on the Great Lawn. Kids will love seeing the LMPD Talking Cars, Static Helicopter Display, Canine Units, Swat Vehicles, and much, much more. Also on site will be the LMPD Kid Print ID team - don't miss this opportunity to ensure your childs safety!
• 9:30am Cycling Criterium Begins
  • Catch the high-speed action of the region's top cycling teams as they race through the streets of downtown Louisville. Kid's will love the action! Come early to get a good spot along the edge of the course! Here is the list of races:

    • 10:15 Women's Race
    • 11:00 Category 3
    • 12:00 Master 40+
    • 1:30 Kids/Celebrity
    • 2:05 Pro 1/2
• 10:00am Texas Roadhouse and Papa John's Food Court Opens
  • Take a quick break from all the action to enjoy lunch at the food court. Grab a delicious burger from Texas Roadhouse or a piece of mouth-watering pizza from Papa John's. Don't forget to grab a little dessert before heading back to your favorite activity.
• 11:00am Concerts Begin
  • There's a full day of concerts planned with a variety of music and entertainment right on the water's edge. Don't miss a minute of it.
