Lieutenant Colonel Robison began his criminal justice career as a
corrections officer with the Jefferson County Corrections Department in 1987. In 1988, Robison was hired by the Louisville Division of Police. He served as a patrol officer in the Fourth and Fifth Districts, as a detective in the Homicide/Sex Crimes Squad, as a sergeant in the Fifth and Fourth Districts and as a lieutenant in the Fourth District. He commanded the Homicide, Robbery, Sex Crimes and Domestic Violence Units.
Following the merger of Louisville and Jefferson County governments, Robison joined the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD). He was appointed to the rank of major and had the privilege of being the final district commander of the Charlie District. In 2004, the LMPD commanders reassessed district boundaries and LMPD was reorganized into 8 patrol divisions. Following this reorganization, Robison had the privilege of becoming the first commander of the 6th Division. In early 2006, Chief White promoted Robison to the rank of lieutenant colonel and assigned him command of the Administrative Bureau.
Lieutenant Colonel Robison earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Louisville - School of Justice Administration. He is also a graduate of the Southern Police Institute - Administrative Officer's Course, the FBI National Academy and the Police Executive Research Forum - Senior Management Institute for Police.
