Major Jeff Wardrip is currently assigned as the Commander of the First Division.

He was hired by the Louisville Division of Police in 1988.

Wardrip was previously assigned to the former First, Second, Sixth and Baker Districts. He served in the Second and Sixth Divisions as well as on the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team and the Dignitary Protection Team (DPT) before being promoted.

Major Wardrip is a graduate of the University of Louisville.
