Major Kevin Greenwood, commander of the 6th Division, was hired by the Louisville Division of Police in 1992.

Major Greenwood was previously assigned to the Air Unit, Crimes Against Children Unit, the 6th Division and the former Sex Crimes/Domestic Violence Unit, the 3rd, 5th and 6th Districts. He also served as the Deputy Chief's Assistant in the former Louisville Division of Police.

Major Greenwood has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and is a certified Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC) instructor. Specialty unit accomplishments include being the commander of the Special Response Team.
