Major Steve Green
Major Steve Green is currently assigned as the Commander of the Fifth Division.
He became a police cadet with the Jefferson County  Police Department (JCPD) on November 16, 1978.
Green was assigned to Emergency Medical Services (EMS). He was an EMS technician beginning in 1981 until becoming a sworn JCPD officer in 1987.
Green worked in the former Adam, Baker and Charlie Districts and in the Burglary Unit as a detective. In the Jefferson County Police Department (JCPD), Green commanded the Burglary Unit and the Major Case Unit.
After merger, Green was assigned to the Public Standards Unit and commanded the Property Crimes and Homicide Units. After being promoted to the rank of major, he commanded the Fourth Division.
Major Green is married and has 3 children.
