Major Steve Green

Major Steve Green became a police cadet with the Jefferson County Police Department (JCPD) on November 16, 1978. He was assigned to Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Major Green was an EMS technician beginning in 1981 until becoming a sworn JCPD officer in 1987.

Major Green worked in the former Adam, Baker and Charlie Districts and in the Burglary Unit as a detective. In the Jefferson County Police Department, Major Green commanded the Burglary Unit and the Major Case Unit.

After merger, Major Green was assigned to the Public Standards Unit and commanded the Property Crimes and Homicide Units.

Major Green is married and has 3 children.
