Acting Major Troy Pitcock

Acting Major Troy Pitcock began his law enforcement career in 1989 with the Jefferson County Police Department. He served in the former Baker District, Narcotics Unit and as a detective in the former Charlie District.

After merger, Pitcock served as a sergeant in the former Sixth District, First Division, Public Integrity Unit and Homicide Unit. In 2008, he was promoted to lieutenant and served in the Third Division and Public Integrity Unit. He was a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team and as assistant commander of the Hostage Negotiation Team (HNT). He is a Kentucky Law Enforcement Council certified instructor.

Acting Major Pitcock is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute and Criminal Justice Executive Development. He is currently pursuing his degree at the University of Louisville.

Pitcock is the recipient of five Meritorious Unit Citations.
