Narrative:

Officer Burge was killed in a motorcycle accident while on patrol at Taylor Boulevard and Oleanda Avenue at 1515 hours.

It is believed that Officer Burge failed to kick up his kick-stand, which then caught in the street and caused the accident.

Officer Burge had been with the agency for 13 years and was survived by his wife and daughter.
