Investigates impounded vehicles which have been or may have been stolen. Provides technical and investigative support for auto theft investigations and provides expert testimony in court. Conducts physical examinations of pawn shops and inspects pawn shop records to ensure compliance with applicable state statutes and local ordinances. Conducts inspections of metal salvage and scrap dealers to ensure compliance with applicable state statutes and local ordinances.
