Important Information about your Neighborhood

                          BE ON ALERT!

On Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at approximately 10:30 am the Louisville Metro Police Department took a report from a victim who gave an account of a robbery that allegedly occurred on I-264 earlier that morning around 7:30 am whereby the suspect stopped abruptly forcing a collision and then robbed the victim. LMPD detectives are currently looking into the victim’s account of the events.

Mass emails have been circulating containing information on similar incidents with differing details. However, LMPD would like to emphasize the incident described above has been the only reported incident to the Louisville Metro Police.

As always, LMPD recommends incorporating prudent safety measures to keep from becoming a victim of crime. Criminals are opportunists and limiting their ability to commit crime is the first step in us all working together to “Keep Louisville Safe.”

Furthermore, if you become the victim of a crime immediately call 911. If you witnessed or have information as to the above incident please call the LMPD anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD.
