The Louisville Metro Neighborhood Watch Program is an active partnership between the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) and area residents to increase community awareness and crime prevention. The Neighborhood Watch Program is a vital network that provides each resident with the knowledge and resources to fight crime through:
  • Home Security
  • Property Identification
  • Public Safety Techniques
  • Neighborhood Awareness
  • Getting to Know Your Neighbors
  • Partnerships with Police

National Night Out - America's Night Out Against Crime!  25th Annual National Night Out - Tuesday, August 5, 2008.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

    View Online Crime Mapping - the Louisville Metro Police Department now has an online crime mapping tool called MetroWatch, part of the Keep Louisville Safe program.  This tool allows citizens to go online and map crimes that have occurred in their neighborhoods during the past 30 days.


     
    Citizen Observer - the website allows the Louisville Metro Police Department to issue alerts quickly and proactively to citizens and businesses throughout Louisville Metro.
