- Annual “Middle School Connection” during the month of October. The program involves linking every seventh grade student in the Jefferson County Public Schools with an adult from the community. There are many different dates and times available for any school of your choice. The program involves a one (1) hour conference with seventh grade students discussing: the importance of coming to school, staying in school, and doing well in school, high school choices, career interests and how adults use reading, writing and math in all aspects of life. Please contact District 14 if you are interested in helping with this program 574-1114.
District 25 Updates:
Metro Council - Councilman Doug Hawkins
- Stuart Middle School Turns 50. This year, Stuart Middle turns 50 years old. The acclaimed Kentucky author Jesse Stuart, for whom the school is named, attended the opening of the former high school. Many of Stuart’s autographed books are on display in the school’s library. The school is seeking 1978 Stuart graduates. If you know a graduate, encourage him or her to call Stuart at 485-8334 and become involved in a school anniversary celebration.
