Notice of Action on a Title V Construction Permit
The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a construction permit to modify a boiler to combust biomass fuel instead of coal, remove an emergency use only limitation on a natural gas fired boiler, and replace a baghouse with an electrostatic precipitator at Recast Energy Louisville, LLC (steam supply plant), 4014 Bells Lane, in accordance with Regulation 2.16. The 30-day public comment period starts May 14, 2011, and ends on June 13, 2011. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.
Drafts of the permit are available at the District office, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday by calling Paul Aud at (502) 574-6000 or emailing airpermits @ louisvilleky.gov. Written comments will be accepted at the District office until 5:00 p.m. June 13, 2011.
