Proposed Title V Construction Permit for Momentive Specialty Chemicals

Notice of Action on a Title V Construction Permit

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) opens a public comment period on January 5, 2011, to issue a construction permit to allow the replacement of the wastewater treatment process controlled by a recuperative thermal oxidizer for Momentive Specialty Chemicals (chemical manufacturing plant), 6200 Camp Ground Road, in accordance with Regulation 2.03. The 30-day public comment period starts January 5, 2011, and ends on February 5, 2011. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

Drafts of the permit are available at the District office, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday by calling (502) 574-6000 or emailing airpermits @ louisvilleky.gov. Written comments will be accepted at the District office until 5:00 p.m. February 5, 2011.
