Notice of Action on a Title V Construction Permit

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) opens a public comment period to  issue a construction permit for reconstruction of a submerged electric arc furnace to Carbide Industries, 4400 Bells Lane, in accordance with Regulation 2.03.  The 30-day public comment period starts June 04, 2011, and ends on July 05, 2011. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

Drafts of the permit are available at the District office, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday by calling Paul Aud at (502) 574-6000, emailing airpermits @ louisvilleky.gov, or by going to www.louisvilleky.gov/APCD/Docket.htm.  Written comments will be accepted at the District office until 5:00 p.m. July 05, 2011.
