Louisville Extreme Park Partial Redesign Public Meeting October 29
Tuesday October 15, 2013
Louisville Metro Parks will hold a public meeting to share the final concept design for the planned partial relocation of the Louisville Extreme Park. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on October 29, at the offices of Luckett & Farley, the design firm for this project, located at 737 South Third Street.
The project is being undertaken because the Ohio River Bridges Project will necessitate demolishing and reconstructing approximately one-third of the Extreme Park, to make way for construction of the flyover ramps that will support the new Louisville-Southern Indiana downtown bridge.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has provided functional replacement funding to Metro Government for the relocation of the affected portion of the park on property adjacent to the existing park.
