Three Leaf Drop-off Sites Open November 6th

Metro Public Works is once again partnering with Metro Parks to provide citizens with a free leaf drop-off service. This year residents will have three locations available to dispose of leaves.

The leaf drop-off service will run from Tuesday, November 6th – Saturday, December 8th, CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY. The service will also not be available on Thanksgiving (November 22nd) and the day after Thanksgiving (November 23rd).

2012 Leaf drop-off Locations and Hours of Operation:

10500 Lower River Road (corner of Bethany Lane)
Tuesday-Saturday, 9am-3pm

East District Public Works Yard
595 Hubbards Lane
Tuesday-Saturday, 9am-3pm

Waste Reduction Center
636 Meriwether Avenue
Tuesday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Saturday, 9am-3pm

**Please note information regarding this service was prematurely and inaccurately published in several sources. The Southwest Government Center is NOT a drop-off location.**

Only loose leaves will be accepted. All containers and bags must be emptied and the bags disposed of off-site.

The leaf drop-off service is provided through Metro Public Works and Assets and Metro Parks. The leaves are turned into compost and used for mulching projects throughout Louisville.
