Proposed STAR Permits for 11 Companies

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) opens a public comment period on November 25, 2008, to issue STAR permits and on its determination of approvability of the environmental acceptability demonstrations, in accordance with Regulation 5.21 Environmental Acceptability for Toxic Air Contaminants, for the following companies: Caldwell Tanks, GE Consumer and Industrial, American Synthetic Rubber, Kentucky Manufacturing, Conco Inc., University of Louisville, E.I. duPont de Nemours, Nuplex Resins, Industrial Container Services, Sam Meyers, and Louisville Medical Center Steam Plant.

Drafts of the permits and related documents are available for review at the District office, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Information may be obtained from Eva Addison at (502) 574-6005. Written comments will be accepted by Eva Addison, Permitting Engineering Supervisor, at the District office until 5:00 p.m. December 29, 2008.
