Air Quality Alert for August 3 and 4

An Air Quality Alert has been declared for Sunday, August 3 and Monday, August 4, 2008 for the Louisville area.

The air is expected to be Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.  Sensitive groups include active children and adults, and people with lung diseases, such as asthma.  These groups should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.

The air quality index is expected to reach 114 on Sunday. The index is forecasted to reach 122 on Monday  The determining pollutant for both days is ground level ozone.
