Proposed Agreed Board Orders with Gaylor, Inc. and Nuplex Resins, LLC

Notice of Public Hearing

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board will hold a public hearing on June 15, 2011, on proposed Agreed Board Orders with Gaylor, Inc. and Nuplex Resins, LLC. Gaylor is alleged to have violated District Regulation 5.04 (Adoption of Federal Emission Standard for Asbestos). Nuplex is alleged to have violated District Regulation 1.13 (Control of Objectionable Odors in the Ambient Air) and District Regulation 1.07 (Excess Emissions during Startups, Shutdowns, and Upset Conditions) at its facility located at 4730 Crittenden Drive.

Written comments from the public will be accepted by the Board, Rachael Hamilton, Secretary-Treasurer, 850 Barret Ave., Louisville, KY 40204-1745, until 5:00 p.m. June 14, 2011. Written comments will also be accepted electronically until the same deadline via the Internet at the e-mail address “airorders @ louisvilleky.gov”. Oral comments will be accepted at the public hearing on June 15, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. in the Board Room, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville.
