Proposed Title V Construction Permit for Kosmos Cement Company

Notice of Action on a Title V Construction Permit

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) opens a public comment period on February 11, 2011, to issue a construction permit to increase the capacity of the coal/coke mill in accordance with Regulation 2.03 for Kosmos Cement Company (Portland Cement Manufacturers).  The 30-day public comment period starts February 11, 2011, and ends on March 14, 2011. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

Drafts of the permit are available at the District office, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday by calling (502) 574-6000 or e-mailing airpermits @ louisvilleky.gov. Written comments will be accepted at the District office until 5:00 p.m. March 14, 2011.
