Proposed Operating Permits for PolyOne Corporation and BAE Systems

Notice of Action on Federally Enforceable District Origin Operating Permit (FEDOOP)

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a FEDOOP for PolyOne Corporation (produces colored PVC resin), 4200 Bells Lane, and BAE Systems (produces various military equipment), 163 Rochester Drive, in accordance with Regulation 2.17. The 90-day public comment period started December 23, 2008 and ended on March 24, 2009. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

Drafts of the permit were available at the District office, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday by calling Eva Addison at 574-6005. Written comments were accepted by Eva Addison, Engineering Supervisor, at the District office until 5:00 p.m. March 24, 2009.

Update (Feb. 25, 2009):  The comment period on the permit for PolyOne was extended through April 23, 2009.
