Proposed Action on Title V Construction Permit

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) opened a public comment period on July 13, 2009, to issue a construction permit to revise monitoring requirements on the clinker feeder baghouse, in accordance with Regulation 2.03 for Kosmos Cement Company (Portland cement production plant), 15301 Dixie Highway. The 30-day public comment period started July 13, 2009, and ended on August 11, 2009. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

Drafts of the permit and related documents were available for review at the District office, 850 Barret Avenue, Louisville, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Information may be obtained from Eva Addison at (502) 574-6005. Written comments will be accepted by Eva Addison, Permitting Engineering Supervisor, at the District office until 5:00 p.m. on August 11, 2009.
