Neighborhood Place locations in Louisville will help to offer free, valuable events in October including three Living Well Workshops, a variety of financial education, prenatal and parenting classes as well as Neighborhood Place Annual Day. The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program is a six-week series of workshops that meet for 2 ½ hours to cover topics including techniques to deal with problems associated with chronic pain, physical activity movement for maintaining and improving strength, and appropriate use of medications. Held for more than 10 years, the Neighborhood Place Annual Day gathers service providers from Louisville’s eight Neighborhood Place locations and staff members from partnering agencies to recharge and allow opportunities for networking and skill-building. A variety of vendors are being sought to provide social services resources as well as craft, jewelry, apparel and other products. Vendor cost is $50 and participant cost is $25 per person.
