Notice of Action on a Title V Operating and Construction Permit
The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to renew a Title V Operating permit to Waste Management of Kentucky's Outer Loop Recycling and Disposal Facility (ORLDF) (municipal solid waste landfill), 2673 Outer Loop Road, in accordance with Regulation 2.16. The public notice is for the Toxic Air Contaminant (TAC) limits that have been changed based on the latest approved environmental acceptability demonstration. The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) opens a 30-day public comment period to revise a construction perrmit to change TAC limits for the landfill expansion project in accordance with Regulation 2.03. The 30-day public comment period starts April 20, 2013 and ends on May 20, 2013. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.
Drafts of the permit are available at the District office, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday by calling Paul Aud at (502) 574-6000 or emailing airpermits @ louisvilleky.gov or going to www.louisvilleky.gov/APCD/Docket.htm. Copies of the application are available upon request. Written comments will be accepted at the District office until 5:00 p.m. on May 20, 2013.
