Louisville – When completed, it will offer a loop around Seneca Park for those who want to walk, run or ride a bicycle. Residents of the area will get a chance to hear the latest update on how the project is proceeding on Monday, April 19th
at a special public meeting.
“I want to encourage everyone who has an interest in the Seneca Park Loop to come out and learn more and ask questions about this project,” says Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D-9).
The Seneca Park Loop public meeting will take place at the St. Matthews Baptist Church, 3515 Grandview Avenue. It will get underway at 7:00pm and last until 8:30pm. Dirk Gowin of Metro Public Works will be discussing the project and answer questions. It is recommended that those attending the meeting park in the main lot of the Church and not on residential streets.
The Multiuse Path proposed by Metro Public Works borders much of Seneca Park via Pee Wee Reese Drive, Taylorsville Road and Cannons Lane.
“This initiative is part of the Mayor’s Healthy Hometown as well as an effort to make our city more pedestrian and bike friendly.” says Ward-Pugh.
