The Metro Public Health and Wellness Department is the featured topic of the next District 12 Dialogue set for Tuesday, April 17th at 7:00pm at Shacklette Elementary. The school is located at 5310 Mercury Drive off of Lower Hunters Trace.
It is one of Metro Government’s busiest departments because of the services it provides to improve the quality of everyone’s life.
“We can be proud of the hard work begun by the Metro Public Health and Wellness Department to assist each of us in maintaining a healthy lifestyle,” says Metro Council President Rick Blackwell (D) 12. “I hope citizens will take home practical suggestions for improving their health.”
The District 12 Dialogues are monthly town hall meetings that Blackwell created when he was first elected to the Metro Council. It is a chance for citizens in the district to connect with their government representatives.
The dialogues feature other departments of Metro Government, including Metro Police, IPL, Neighborhoods and MSD, and a representative of Congressman John Yarmuth’s office will be on hand to address any concerns on the federal level.
