June Movies under the Stars returns this Saturday to the Iroquois Amphitheatre

“Movies under the Stars” returns to the Iroquois Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 12th with the film that brought Sandra Bullock an Academy Award as Best Actress in “The Blind Side”.
“This should be a great night of free family entertainment,” says Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D-15). “The Blind Side is a heartwarming story for the whole family and we are happy to present it to the community free of charge.”
The movie begins at 9:00pm. It is the second in series five free movies presented this summer.
Butler along with Council Members George Unseld (D-6), Rick Blackwell (D-12), Vicki Aubrey Welch (D-13), Bob Henderson (D-14) Dan Johnson (D-21), Jim King (D-10), Mary C. Woolridge (D-3), Doug Hawkins (R-25), Jon Ackerson (R-18) and Brent Ackerson (D-26) provided the funding for this year’s program.
“The feedback we are getting from this movies series has been great,” says Butler. “People who never knew the Iroquois Amphitheatre was such a great facility are coming back and at the same time are enjoying Iroquois Park.
While the movies are free, concessions will be available.
