Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D-15), Chair of the Metro Council’s Budget Committee, encourages the public to offer their input as Mayor Greg Fischer plans the next fiscal year budget for Metro Louisville.
“As elected officials, we are always mindful of how the public views Metro Government spending tax dollars,” says Butler. “The Mayor is offering an opportunity for all residents to speak out in these tight economic times and let Metro Government know what local services are most important to them.”
The Metro Council will review and hold hearings on the Mayor’s proposed budget in June.
“Metro Government works best when we know how the people we serve think,” says Butler. “We face another challenging budget; we are happy to work with the Mayor and public as we go through the planning process.”
