With Spring just around the corner, District 9 is ready to shake off the cold of winter and get ready for warmer temperatures and sunny days with an event to rally community spirit.
“It is time for a little spring cleaning,” says Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D-9) “On Saturday March 27th, our volunteers will join hundreds of others all over Louisville Metro by picking up trash and clearing away winter debris.”
The 12th Annual Ninth District Spring Cleanup will run from 9:00am until Noon. Bags, gloves, and tools will be provided for volunteers who want to spend the day with neighbors doing cleanup work. T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to those who didn’t pre-register.
“I am always amazed by the number of dedicated volunteers who will come out on a Saturday to show their pride and willingness to make a difference in our community.”
We will gather at the Crescent Hill Library Parking lot at 8:30 am where a light breakfast, provided by Clifton McDonalds and coffee provided by Heine Brothers’ Coffee will be served. Then at 9:00am volunteers will be sent out to start the cleanup.
