Public Encouraged to Complete Community Health Survey
Tuesday May 8, 2012
More than one thousand people have taken the on-line survey to assess what the community perceptions and needs of healthcare are in Louisville. But Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, Louisville’s Director of Public Health and Wellness, is encouraging more people to participate.
“We are requesting that those who have not yet taken the survey, either at a community meeting or on-line, go to www.louisvilleky.gov/health and do so,” said Nesbitt. “What people think about the quality and needs of healthcare in our community will help to shape the future direction of healthcare in Louisville.”
The number of people taking the survey so far has been greatest in the southwest sections of Louisville Metro, while the number of people taking the survey has been fewest in the northeast sections.
The survey is available in both English and Spanish. Data gathered from the surveys will be shared with local hospitals and used to improve healthcare services in Louisville.
