Metro Council Members Judith Green (D) 1, Mary C. Woolridge (D) 3 and Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D) 5 will join Mayor Jerry Abramson for his Community Conversation on June 18th.
“I look forward to welcoming the Mayor into District 1 and I want to encourage everyone to come out and talk with Metro Government officials about a problem or concern they may have,” says Green.
The Mayor’s Community Conversation will take place at Carter Elementary School, 3600 Bohne Ave. The school is located off of Russell Lee Drive and South 35th Street.
Once a month, the Mayor brings Metro Government to a Council District to assist anyone who may have a problem or concern in their area.
“I encourage everyone to come out and if you do have a concern, we can explain how my office works with various departments to address problems. We work together to serve all of Metro Louisville,” says Woolridge
But many Council members believe it’s important to get regular on going feed back from the public on how well government is working.
“We can set policy and pass laws, but we also need to hear from residents to know what the community thinks we should be looking into as well,” says Hamilton. “This is your chance to tell us what is on your mind.”
