Louisville – In many towns and communities, it is a business which over the years is considered a gathering spot to talk and learn about what’s going on in a neighborhood. On Saturday, December 1st, the Parkland Neighborhood will welcome such a new business to an area which is striving to change its recent history.
“On Saturday, the doors to Picture Perfect will open in an effort to bring economic development to this area,” says Councilwoman Attica Scott (D-1). “The owner believes it is the perfect spot to help build a community.”
Owner Jess Lindsay lives three blocks away from the barber shop which will open for business at 1037 South 32nd Street. Lindsay has told Scott it is time for something positive to come to the area.
“Right across the street from Picture Perfect, the community experienced the unbelievable violence of tragic shootings on May 17th,” says Scott. “I applaud Mr. Lindsay for his determination to make a difference and I know that many folks in this neighborhood want to help him succeed.”
Scott and others will attend a formal grand opening for Picture Perfect at 2:00pm on Saturday.
