Ninth District Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh today announced the opening of the Botanica Fleur de Lis Festival, set for Friday through Sunday at Waterfront Park along Witherspoon Street, west of Slugger Field.
Councilwoman Ward-Pugh, a sponsor of the event, said the festival celebrates Louisville’s rich horticultural heritage, and will feature more than 40 vendors, including landscape displays; outdoor furniture; garden-themed art; an outdoor plant market; and fleur de lis items and memorabilia.
In addition, gardening experts, including Cindi Sullivan of WHAS Radio and WAVE TV-3, Jeneen Wiche of WFPL’s Home Grown and Bob Hill of Home Grown and proprietor of Hidden Hill Nursery, will discus gardening topics throughout the weekend.
The festival is open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
