Louisville, KY – Metro Councilman Kevin Kramer (District 11) along with Canaan Community Development Corporation will sponsor a one-time computer training course on the MetroWatch program for District 11 neighborhood, homeowner, block watch, and condo association leaders. MetroWatch is an LMPD computer program that allows residents to track crime in and around their neighborhood. The class will be held on Thursday, October 18th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Canaan Christian Church (2840 Hikes Lane) in the Family Life Center computer lab, which is located on the second floor. An LMPD officer will also be on hand to talk about how the Police use MetroWatch and its importance in fighting crime at the grass roots level.
"MetroWatch is an innovative program that allows residents to be aware of criminal activity in their community. I am hopeful that District 11 leaders can take what they learn in this course and pass it on to their neighbors." - Kevin Kramer
Space for this class is very limited and participants are required to RSVP for this course by calling Councilman Kramer’s office at 574-1111.
