For Immediate release:
Louisville Metro Council
As the leaves begin to fall, Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh is asking for volunteers to help keep the area looking tidy by helping in the 13th Annual 9th District Fall Cleanup.
“Each autumn, our community pitches in to make sure we can all enjoy the beauty of the fall season free from debris and trash,” says Ward-Pugh.
Volunteers should check in at 8:30 am in the public parking lot next to Frankfort and North Keats on Saturday, October 22th. Volunteers will be provided with bags and gloves, as well as t-shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. Before the cleanup begins at 9:00am, volunteers will have a chance to mingle and enjoy coffee and breakfast donated by Heine Brothers’ Coffee and the Clifton McDonald’s.
“It says something about our District that so many people turn out to help keep our neighborhoods clean. I am always impressed that our residents take so much pride in the area and are so generous with their time,” says Ward-Pugh.
For more information or to sign up, please call the Councilwoman’s office at 574-1109 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
