Ninth District Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh will join neighbors and volunteers for the Barrett Fall Beautification Day from 9 am. until noon on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Barrett Traditional School, 2561 Grinstead Dr.

Volunteers will clean up trash, debris and weeds in the area around the school. Councilwoman Ward-Pugh will provide plastic bags, gloves and some tools. Heine Bros. Coffee will donate coffee, and the Kroger store on lower Brownsboro Road will provide donuts and orange juice.

The beautification project is open to anyone who wants to help. Volunteers should meet in the school parking lot at about 8:45am. In the event of rain, the clean up will be moved to Saturday, Nov. 1.

This fourth annual clean up was initiated by former Alderwoman Ward-Pugh after S. Galt Avenue Mayor Victory Bisig contacted her about cleaning up the campus. The event continues to grow each year.
