Fifth District Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton will serve as a panelist for the Kentucky African-American Agenda Summit, hosted by the Kentucky Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (KBC-LEO). The summit begins at 9 a.m. (CDT) Saturday at Walnut Street Community Center, 1600 Walnut Street, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

The summit will feature sessions on issues affecting African-Americans in Kentucky, including education, justice, healthcare, lending and home ownership, and employment and economic development.

The KBC-LEO Spring Summit brings African-American elected officials together from across the state to work on challenges faced by the average African-American Kentuckian. The meeting is designed to bring leaders together on the issues, create dialogue and organize efforts to create positive change.
